Solstice - Large Jar/Vase

This jar is thrown from rich red stoneware and then carved. The top rim is glazed, so you can take the lid off and also use it as a vase.

The pattern is made by carefully building up layers of glaze in the shapes the carving creates. This jar is glazed inside. I have left it with a decent thickness so that is has some thermal mass for optimal tea storage. While not completely airtight, the lid is super snug. Great for tea storage, but can put anything you like in it! It is food safe. It holds 1300ml by volume. 

6.75" tall and approximately 5.75" wide. 

All my pieces are unique and handmade by me (a non-robot human). Slight irregularities may be present, and are often intentional. Glazes may craze over time, and unglazed clay will develop a tea patina with use. Please be sure to check the measurements to get an accurate idea of size.
